The Ministry of Environment says that incense sticks introduced to repel wild elephants that break into houses have given successful results.
The Ministry of Environment states that tests have already been carried out on the incense sticks and they are looking to extend the burning time further. So far it burns within one and half hours and needed to extend this time further.
The Ministry of Environment says that elaphants are repelled when the smell emitted from burning sticks, which are made to chase away wild elephants.
The Ministry of Environment states that this will enable the public to live safely despite the threats posed by wild elephants.
