Education Minister Susil Premajayantha has expressed his intention to engage in discussions regarding the issues faced by teachers’ and principals’ trade unions. He acknowledges the importance of addressing their concerns.
While abroad, Minister Premajayantha also conveyed his condolences to those affected by the unfortunate incident that took place near the Ministry of Education.
The minister further mentioned that ongoing issues raised by principals have been successfully resolved. Additionally, he has proposed allocating a portion of this year’s budget to address salary disparities not only for principals but also for other services within the education sector.
Minister Premajayantha emphasized the normalcy of trade unions advocating for their members’ interests and encouraged not to overly concern themselves with these demands.
