Dr. Harini Amarasuriya was sworn in as the Prime Minister of the new government a short time ago in front of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
She is appointed as the 16th Prime Minister of the Parliament of Sri Lanka and Dr Harini is the third women Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.
Also, she holds responsibilities as the Minister of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Industrial Affairs, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ministry of Health and Investment.
Dr. Harini Amarasuriya is a social Scientist and before she was appointed as a national List Member f parliament representing NPP . Being a Senior Lecturer in Sociology and Social Anthropology she was the Department of Social Sciences of Open University , Sri Lanka.
