The cause of death of well-known businessman Dinesh Schaffter has never been determined by the investigators as suicide.

Police Media Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Nihal Talduwa said that the CID has confirmed that the cause of death of Dinesh Schaffter was suicide, as reported by several newspapers published over the weekend. The investigating officers have not received any reports that Dinesh Shafter’s death was due to suicide.

The media spokesperson told reporters to report only authentic information that has been confirmed; if not, it would be an obstacle to the investigation.
