Four DIGs to be transferred with immediate effect under the instructions of Inspector General Police Mr C.D Wickramaratne. Accordingly, DIG in charge of the Jaffna District M. Senaratne has been transferred to the Welfare District and DIG in charge of the Ampara District A. Mr Karunaratne has been transferred in charge of the Western Province Crime Prevention Division.
Security in charge of former President Chandrika Bandaranaike DIG S.M.Y Bandaranaike was also present. Mr Seneviratne will be in charge of the Ampara District and DIG P.Liyanage serving at the Police Headquarters. has been appointed as the DIG of Jaffna.
