Former State Intelligence Chief, retired Major General Suresh Saleh, who is currently under detention orders, has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital following a sudden illness.
Suresh Saleh is presently being interrogated by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
It is reported that his wife and son attempted to visit him; however, their request was declined by officials.
According to reports, Saleh was admitted to the hospital yesterday (24). After being informed of his condition, the Magistrate examined him and subsequently referred him for medical evaluation.
He was later admitted to the National Hospital on medical advice.
