The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) probably will increase its fuel prices after Monday (14), a the queues at fuel stations are over, Samagi United Trade Union Force (SUTUF) Convenor Ananda Palitha speculated.
He told Lankasara that government’s reluctance to increase the fuel in lne with the recent fuel hike by LIOC is, that the government fears that the fury of the people who flock at ques could intensify further.
According to the sources CPC has sought the permission to increase Petrol litre by 60 to 70 Rupees, Diesel by 80 Rupees and 50 rupees increase for both super Diesel and Octane 95 petrol.
