The number of coronavirus deaths in Sri Lanka has risen to 149 after two more deaths were reported today. The deceased have been identified as two men residing in Colombo 15 and Imbulgoda areas.
The 55 year old resident of Colombo 15 was transferred from Welisara Chest Hospital to Pimbura Base Hospital and later to Mulleriyawa Base Hospital after being diagnosed with Covid 19 infection. He died at Mulleriyawa Hospital yesterday while being treated for Covid induced pneumonia.
The 66 year old resident of Imbulgoda had died on the 10th when he was admitted to the Ragama Hospital, the Director General of Health Services stated. The leading causes of death was identified as acute diabetes mellitus and Covid pneumonia
