The Asian Cricket Council’s proposal to allow an additional day for the Super Four match between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup cricket tournament, exclusively in the event of rain, has sparked widespread criticism.

Sri Lanka and the coaching staff of various teams have voiced their discontent with this decision.

Numerous cricket enthusiasts are expressing their disappointment, contending that Sri Lanka and the cricket governing bodies should be held accountable for altering the rules to seemingly favor India and Pakistan. This sentiment has led to accusations of betrayal against the country’s cricket teams.

The official Sri Lanka tournament faced an interruption due to rain today (09), resulting in both teams being awarded one point without the provision of an additional day for rescheduling the match.
