The Consumer Service Authority has issued a gazette notice specifying the weight standards for bread. According to the notification, a full loaf of bread should weigh 450 grams, with a permissible deficiency of 13.5 grams. Similarly, half a loaf is expected to weigh 225 grams, with a permissible deficiency of 09 grams.
This move by the Consumer Service Authority aims to establish clear standards for the weight of bread sold in the market, ensuring consistency and accuracy for consumers.
