Imprisoned former Parliamentarian and popular actor Ranjan Ramanayake will be received a conditional presidential pardon and the President Ranil Wickremesinghe today (26) signed the document regarding the granting the pardon President Media Division says. It is speculated that the former state minister Ranjan Ramanayake, who was convicted for contempt of court will be released soon.
The President has signed the documents to grant a conditional pardon which said Ramanayaka will not make any statement or action that insults the court in the future, it said
