The government has decided to appoint a committee to review the Covid-19 deaths which happened at home.
The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) said that the Director General of Health had appointed a review committee yesterday as a result of their repeated requests from the Ministry of Health.
Secretary of the Government Medical Officers’ Association Shenal Fernando said that 50% of the 23 deaths in a very short period of time occurred at home.
