Civil team to Peratugami office sent from CC
Civil team including a police officer who came in a white van and broke into the Nugegoda Peratugaami Socialist Party office yesterday morning has been directed by the Colombo Crime Division Police sources said.
The socialist party released a live video yesterday (29) that the police team came to inspect the party office without a search warrant or any legal document and forcibly searched the entire office without revealing their identity.
It is reported that there were police officers in the group dressed in civilian clothes, and on a strict order received from a top police officer in the Western Province, those officers had to go for a physical examination in this way.
Sources in the police department say that in an environment where a legal document cannot be produced, police officers are also exposed to the community by entering a private property and being ordered to act in this manner.
