The chairperson of the organization set up to trace missing persons during the ethnic conflict in Vavuniya, Ms Kasipilla Jeyavanitha, was arrested yesterday by the police and officials of the CEB.

She has been arrested for having obtained an unauthorized electrical connection to the tent where this group has been demonstrating for 2210 days since last year, 2017, at a place near Vavuniya town.

A group of Electricity Board officials and the police came to this place and seized the wire switches used for obtaining electricity without permission.
