CCTV footage has been released on the shooting incident in Oruwala, Athurugiriya that killed the leading night club owner of Surendra Wasantha Perea alias Club Wasantha. The video shows that two gunmen arrive in a white car. The car is stopped in front of the building and runs to the upper floor to see how the murder is carried out.
The attack took place on the opening day of a tattoo parlour opened by famous singer K Sujeewa. The CCTV footage was aired on Hiru TV.
Suren Wasantha Perera and another Person who was present at the opening event died in this shooting. Two others are being treated in critical condition at Homagama Hospital.
Singer K. Sujeeva and another person who was admitted to the Athurugiriya Base Hospital have been transferred to the Colombo National Hospital.
Deputy Director of Colombo National Hospital Dr. Rukshan Bellana stated to the media that K. Sujeeva’s condition is not critical and she sustained injuries in her legs.
Police sources said that the suspected car in which the killers were travelling has been found abandoned in Kaduwela, Korathota area.
