The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) says it will take legal action against State Minister Vidura Wickramanayake and several others for contempt of court for acting in violation of a court order relating to the Mullaitivu, Kurunthurmalai Archeology site. Media Spokesman of the TNA, MP and Attorney at Law M.A Sumanthiran is set to appear for the case.

Former Members of the Northern provincial council Thurairasa Raviharan and Pradeshiya Sabha member Chinnarasa Logeshwaran had met Sumanthiran to discuss to the issue surrounding the destruction of Hindu religious signs at the site. The TNA has already lodged a complaint with the Mullaitivu Police claiming the Trishula signs have been destroyed.

TNA says the Mullaitivu Magistrates Court has already issued an order about the site previously and that Wickramanayake and several government officials have acted in violation of it. Therefore the TNA is set to file a case in this regard before either the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court.
