Bus Fare to Increase from Midnight Onwards

Raises Bus Fares by 4.01%

The National Transport Commission of Sri Lanka has made the decision to increase bus fares by 4.01 percent, effective from midnight (2).

It’s important to note that there will be no change in the minimum bus fare.

This fare adjustment also applies to high-speed buses, with the following fare increases:

– For regular buses: The minimum fare remains unchanged, with fare increases applied across various stages.
– For high-speed buses: The fare adjustments mirror those for regular buses, with proportional increases in different stages of travel.

Bus fares will increase as follows.
