A meeting between representatives of the British High Commission in Sri Lanka and the National People’s Power Economic Council took place today (19) at the Pelawatta J.V.P. Head Office.
During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on the challenges confronting Sri Lanka’s business sector and the economic hardships faced by its people amid the prevailing socio-economic crisis. The National People’s Power presented its policy approaches aimed at addressing the economic crisis.
Key attendees included Matthew Wordingham, First Secretary for Economic Affairs at the British High Commission, along with Alex Smith, Second Secretary for Political Affairs, and Political Advisor Neluni Thilakaratne. Representing the National People’s Power Economic Council were National Executive Members Professor Anil Jayantha, Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, and Muditha Nanayakkara.
