As part of the ongoing Esala Maha Perahera festival, the indigenous community conducted their annual bee honey offering to the Tooth Relic today (26) morning. The ceremony, held at the Sri Dalada Maligawa, saw members of the indigenous community from Dambana, including the leader of the community Uruwarige Vaniya Aththo.
The event was attended by numerous individuals, including Pradeep Nilanga Dela Bandara, Diyawadana Nilame.
The first Ran Doli Perahara of the Sri Dalada Perahera will proceed through the streets today (26).
The annual Esala Perahera festival will conclude on August 31st with the afternoon procession, during which the Diyawadana Nilame will present a memorandum signifying the conclusion of the procession to the President at the Presidential Palace in Kandy.
