The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL)  urges  to the Inspector General of Police to take swift action with regard to shooting incidents taking place across the country and several dead bodies which were discovered. T

he BASL   has sent a letter to the Inspector General of Police  Mr C.D Wickramaratne pointing out that taking place such incidents here is a threat to rule of law, in consideration of shootings being carried out in broad daylight, as well as the discovery of bodies in areas such as Galle Face.

The Bar Association points out  by taking steps to immediately investigate these matters and arrest the suspects, public faith in the rule of law can be restored.
