Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air has decided to resume direct flights to Sri Lanka. From February 15 the airline will operate two flights a week to the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport using the airline’s latest Airbus A-320 aircraft.
Although Gulf Air has operated direct flights between Bahrain and Sri Lanka since 1981, all flights were suspended due to the Covid 19 global epidemic.
Meanwhile, Emirates has also taken steps to increase the number of weekly flights to Sri Lanka from four to six. These additional flights will be operational from February 27.
