The Early Warning Center for Natural Disasters of the Department of Meteorology has issued a warning notice to be aware of possible rains and strong winds.
Accordingly, many areas of Sabaragamuwa province, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts will experience rain or thunder president from time to time.
Heavy rains of more than 100 mm may occur in some places.
It is also emphasized that the people living in low-lying areas in hilly areas with landslide risk and the people who are living near reservoirs should be careful.
Road users and drivers in mountainous areas should also be careful while using those roads,they advice .
The Department of Meteorology informs to take necessary measures to reduce the accidents caused by lightning and to be protected from falling power lines.
