Ven. Rajangane Saddharathana Thero has been arrested last night by Criminal Investigation Department in connection with statements made harmful to religious harmony. He was arrested in Shravasthipura.
The CID is carrying out an investigation on Ven. Saddharathana Thero has been arrested in connection with the investigations on a complaint made by Ven. Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thero regarding certain statements made harmful to religious harmony.
Saddharathana Thero will be produced before the Fort Magistrates Court later today (May 29).
