Arrested MPs Sanath Nishantha and Milan Jayatilleke arrested by the CID today for allegedly being the frontrunners in the Pohottu gang that planned to attack peaceful protesters protesting at Gulface and Temple Trees on May 9 will be produced to the courts tomorrow Police sources said.
Sanath Nishantha was earlier arrested and Milan Jayatilleke has been arrested in the Bauddhaloka Mawatha by the CID.
Today, the CID had informed the Speaker that statements had to be recorded from seven Members of Parliament regarding the attack on the Gulface protesters.
If those MPs are present in Parliament today, they should be referred to the CID for a statement.
