There is a move to oust Apsari Tillakaratne from the position of women’s cricket convenor of the Sri Lanka Cricket following her appointment in the main opposition Samagi Janabalwegaya sports sources revealed.
Apsari the wife of Cricketing legend Hasan Tillekeratne considered a pivotal character behind Sri Lanka women Crickert’s current success. She made a considerable dedication to picking talented girls from rural villages throughout the country.
Recently She met the Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa with her husband and obtained an appointment as an organiser of SJB. Meanwhile, she has been appointed as Sajith Premadasa’s sports affairs coordinator.
It has been learned that Apsari is preparing to be removed saying that she did not get permission from the Sri Lanka Cricket administration for an interview given to a certain media recently.
However, it was said that she recently joined SJB would be the reason behind the attempts of her sudden removal sources further said.
