Surgical Oncologist Kanishka de Silva says that all medical specialists attached to the Apeksha Hospital Maharagama will hold a crucial discussion today (27) on how to treat indoor patients at the Apeksha Hospital.
He said the discussion was necessary as specialists, surgeons and other health staff members expressed their inability to accomplish their routine work in line with their call of duty since most of them were languishing in fuel queues.
The specialist said that due to the inconvenience caused to the health staff, the surgeries performed in the five operating theatres of the hospital had to be restricted.
He said the hospital would not be able to function in full steam under the current situation unless authorities take steps to provide fuel to the health staff.
