Litro has informed that due to the inclement weather the stock of gas that has arrived has not been able to land.
The ship is currently being brought to the Port of Colombo and transported by bowsers to Keralawalapitiya, Litro said.
Vijitha Herath, Chairman of Litro, has instructed the public not to come to the gas queues until further notice.
It is reported that there is a shortage of four million gas tanks in the country since the gas supply was cut off on the 12th.
The Minister of Energy Kanchana Wijesekera stated that 4 million gas cylinders in the country are empty and it will take about 20 days to restore them.
