Culinary veteran Andy Allen has decided to return to Australia’s popular cooking competition Masterchef nearly a year after his colleague Jock Zonfrillo‘s death.

The 46-year-old Scottish Chef who later migrated to Australia died in Melbourne on April 30 last year, 2023. His body was found in a hotel room but there was no confirmation of his cause of death. His fans are still mourning over the demise of their beloved mentor who succeeded in his life with excellent culinary skills and entrepreneurship.
Andy Allen, the Australian young chef who was a winner of Masterchef Australia, and Zonfrillo were good friends. They took part in the Masterchef show together. Following the death of Jock Zonfrillo, he refrained from taking part in the show for a couple s of months.

According to Australian media, Allen has agreed to return to the show after discussing with Zonfrillo’s wife, Lauren.
Allen has said returning to the MasterChef kitchen without Zonfrillo was filled with mixed emotions.

“It’s nearly a year. Sometimes it feels like yesterday and other times it feels like it was a long, long time ago,” Allen told in another the Show recently.

“It was hard. It was really hard. I didn’t know if I was going to do it (MasterChef) again.

“It just felt so wrong to do it without him, because we just loved it so much together, and walking back into that kitchen was huge.

“My only fear was that I couldn’t do it and I couldn’t be what it needed me to be.”
