A 67-year-old American tourist, identified as Tolbert Gordon Hunch, was discovered dead in his hotel room at a star-class tourist hotel in Kalutara. The incident was reported by the hotel management, who alerted the Kalutara North Police.
Upon receiving the information, law enforcement officers proceeded to room number 324, where Mr. Hunch’s lifeless body was found on the bed. The Kalutara Division crime scene laboratory officials conducted initial investigations into the circumstances surrounding the tourist’s death.
Deputy Police Inspector Ruwanpura Indrajith, the station commander overseeing various complaint sections, is leading the inquiry, with Kalutara North Station Chief Inspector SRA Gunasekara providing direction to the investigative efforts. The police are diligently working to determine the details surrounding the demise of the American tourist.
