American Embassy and the Sri Lanka Life Saving Association joined forces to organize a beach cleaning program today (19) morning.
Notably, Julie J. Chung, the American ambassador to Sri Lanka, actively participated in the initiative, setting an example. She enthusiastically engaged in cleaning the beach, focusing on collecting non-perishable materials nestled among the rocks.
MP Chandima Veerakkodi, elegantly attired in a white dress, also graced the occasion with their presence. It was a sight worth mentioning, how the MP was only just pointing at the garbage for the American ambassador to pick it up.
