The President has appointed Mr. D.M.L.D Bandaranaike as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture, Presidential Spokesman Kingsley Ratnayake said.
He is the fourth Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture since the current government took office.
Previously, the Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture was Senior Professor Udith Jayasinghe.
Meanwhile, Mr. Anusha Pelpita has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media and Information.
He will hold the post from January 1.
