Gampola Hospital staff and patients have been drinking carcass dissolved water for two months, Gampola Hospital sources said.
The incident is reported as follows.
About two months ago, a police sergeant from the Pundaluoya area was admitted to the Gampola Hospital with symptoms of Covid infection.
But within a few days the patient had disappeared. No information has been reported about him.
Meanwhile, the hospital water tank has been inspected after being informed by the hospital staff that a stench has been spreading around the hospital water tank which is about 40 feet high .
The decomposed body of the police sergeant was found last evening (29).
For weeks, the body of a man suspected of being infected with the cow had been used to dissolve water in the hospital premises.
It is suspected that this is a suicide. The incident is being investigated.
