Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said while addressing a media conference held in the morning today (29) that more than 20 eemployees including union leaders Asoka Ranwala, Bandula Samam Kumara and Jagath Wijegunarathnl who obstructed the employees of the Petroleum Corporatiowere sent on compulsory leave.
The minister said that among the trade union leaders who were sent on compulsory leave, there is also a trade union leader of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
He also mentioned that individual charge sheets will be filed against those persons.
A ban has also been issued that none of these persons can enter any premises of the petroleum corporation.
