17 more ministers to the cabinet before within next week!

17 more ministers are to be appointed, in addition to the 20 ministers currently in the cabinet government sources said. It is also reported that 03 parliamentarian from the main opposition Samagi Jana Balawegaya too will get ministerial portfolios under new cabinet reshuffle.

It is also reported that the number of cabinet ministers represented by the SLPP will be increased to a total of 23.
The 11 MPs who have already been nominated for the cabinet and sent to the President are Namal Rajapaksa, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, C.B. Rathnayake, Pavithra Vanniarachchi, Janaka Bandara Thennakone, SB Dissanayake, Wimalaweera Dissanayake, Sarath Weerasekera, SM Chandrasena, Johnston Fernando and Mahindananda Aluthgamage.

According to the reports, Jeevan Thondaman, Vajira Abeywardena and A. L. M. Ataullah are also coming to the cabinet from other parties.

Some objections were placed for Johnston Fernando and Namal Rajapaksa’s ministerial appointments from within the party , however those objections were not considered.
