A massive protest under the theme ‘Let’s not isolate the Gall face’, held today (01) in at the Gotagogama branch in London in front of England Parliament today.
The Sri Lankan community in the United Kingdom as well as in the Europe , regardless of race or religion, has come down to strengthen the struggle of all Sri Lankans, including the courageous youth community of Sri Lankans who have fallen on the streets and struggled after their ultimate desire to live has disappeared.
For this struggle, people from various parts of Europe are flocking to Westminster Square in front of the London Parliament, where the Gotagogama branch in London is located. At least 3,000 protesters have joined the protest. London-based Sri Lankans say this is the biggest protest in London over Sri Lanka in recent times.
The protesters are trying to draw the attention of international community about the ongoing mass protest raising against the President, who belongs to the family that bankrupted the motherland within 30 months. They displayed banners compelling President and government to go home.
The organizing committee has decided to hold the London-wide Gotagogama protest every day from 10 am to 7 pm for two weeks up to 14th of May .
