The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Türkiye participated in the Antalya Tourism Fair 2024, held from 23 to 25 October, promoting Sri Lanka’s unique heritage and vibrant tourism offerings to a global audience.

The event, renowned as one of the most productive and innovative tourism fairs in the Mediterranean region, drew more than 40,000 visitors and over 748 participants, including global hospitality experts, travel enthusiasts, and Embassy representatives from more than 50 countries.

Sri Lanka’s stall at the event showcased the nation’s exotic beaches, rich heritage, and unparalleled natural beauty, drawing significant attention from attendees. A key highlight at the stall was pure Ceylon tea, which captivated many visitors underscoring the demand for authentic Sri Lankan experiences, and boosted interest in the destination as a unique travel hotspot. In addition, the stall featured Sri Lankan products including batik items as well as videos, banners, etc. promoting tourism. Through the stall, the Embassy of Sri Lanka effectively presented the country’s potential as an exciting tourism destination for Turkish and international travelers.

During the event, Embassy officials interacted with industry stakeholders, engaging in discussions on possible collaborations and exploring synergies with Türkiye’s tourism sector. These efforts reinforced Sri Lanka’s image as a travel destination that offers diverse and memorable experiences.

Sri Lanka’s participation in the Antalya Tourism Fair 2024 was assisted by the Honorary Consul for Sri Lanka in Antalya, Ali Kamburoğlu.

The participation of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the event highlights its commitment to promoting Sri Lanka as a preferred tourist destination in Türkiye and beyond, and its contribution to the growth of Sri Lanka’s tourism industry while enhancing cultural understanding.
