Failure in Norochchole – Power cut will be more longer from tomorrow!

The powercut which remains at 1 hour and 20 minutes today will be extended from tomorrow 3 hours (from 16th -19th August)   due to a breakdown of Norochcholai coal power plant Public Utility Commission of Sri lanka (PUCSL) said.

The PUCSL chairman Janaka Ratnayake the power outage  will be extended from tomorrow as appropriate due to a minor breakdown repair of 1st coal power plant at Norochchole ( approximately 14to 16 days for repair). The official announcement of the power cut will be released once approved by PUCSL

PUCSL approved power cuts of  as follows;
Groups ABCDEFGHIJKLPQRSTUVW – 1hour and 40minutes during daytime & 1hour and 20minutes during night.
Group CC – 2 hours and 30 minutes from 6.00am to 8.30am
Groups MNOXYZ – 3 hours from 5.30am to 8.30am
