The Ministry of Energy has devised a new scheme to provide fuel for the vehicles all seven days a week that does not fall into any specific category depending on the last digit of the vehicle’s registration number.
Accordingly, reports said that if the last digit of the number plate is 0, 1 or 2, such vehicles could refuel on Mondays and Thursdays. If the last digit is 3, 4 or 5, the days set aside are Tuesdays and Fridays.
The authorities are considering reserving Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays for vehicles bearing the last digit 6,7,8 and 9 on the number plate.
The Ministry of Power and Energy is to decide on a date for the proposal to come into operation.
Accordingly, the required fuel for cars, motorcycles and three-wheelers can be obtained from Ceypetco filling stations on a weekly or monthly basis.
