The Police believe it would be possible to identify the body of the lady who was found dumped in a garbage bag near the Sapugaskanda oil refinery yesterday (04), by today . Since they have received some clues on a missing woman and the relatives will be present at the police today.
The police have commenced investigations into the incident and
sources say they have received information that a woman has gone missing in Biyagama area in the last few days.
The body was so badly identified that its identity could not be ascertained.
The body has been placed at the Ragama Hospital mortury and the postmortem examination has commenced.
Acting Mahara Magistrate Ramani Siriwardena visited the scene of the incident last evening and ordered that the body be taken to the Ragama Hospital morgue for an autopsy and that investigations be initiated to arrest the suspects.
