The Advanced Coaching camp organized by the Western Province Badminton Association commenced at the Mercantile Badminton Association Indoor Stadium in Colombo.

The programme, which is attended by 40 of Sri Lanka’s leading badminton coaches, is being conducted by Kim Young Man. A former Head Coach of Japan and South Korea, as well as a former Head Coach of BWF World Training Centre, Kim Young Man is regarded as one of the most accomplished coaches in international badminton. This marks the first time that such a coaching camp has been conducted in Sri Lanka under the guidance of a coach of this international calibre.

The camp which began on June 22, will continue until June 27.
Exclusive sponsor for this unique project – APACS and Mr. Jayasiri Silva, Hon Consul of Republic of Botswana International Apacs Director in Sri Lanka.

Western Province Badminton Association has also received co-sponsorship from Chance sports.
The primary objective of the camp is to equip local coaches with strategic knowledge and advanced coaching methodologies to help elevate Sri Lanka’s national-level badminton players to the international stage
