The controversial Director General of the Department of Zoology Sharmila Rajapaksa has decided to resign from the post Lankadeepa reports. According to the Lankadeepa she has stated that she will resign until a formal investigation is carried out into those involved in sabotage and fraud and the dangerous situation in the Zoo are removed
She said she had written to the Secretary to the President and the Secretary to the Ministry of Wildlife and Forest Conservation.
