Three individuals have forcibly gang-raped a young mother who was breastfeeding her child in her home in Poogoda.
The Children and Women Bureau of Poogoda Police reported that the victim, a young mother residing in the Amgahawatta area of Poogoda, was sexually assaulted by these culprits, who further threatened the life of her baby if their demands were not met.
As a response to this crime, Poogoda police have successfully apprehended two suspects, both aged between 21 and 23.
A thorough investigation is underway to locate and apprehend the third individual involved in this incident.
The victimized mother has been taken to a hospital for a comprehensive medical examination.
