The case involving Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the son of the former President, and his grandmother Daisy Forres regarding the purchase of a fifty-million-rupee land in Mihindu Mawatha, Dehiwala, has been postponed until May 31st, next year during the hearing held today (24).
Mt. Magistrate Kosala Senadheera ordered a reminder to be sent for the Attorney General’s advice regarding the case. The Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division has filed the case under the Money Laundering Act, alleging that funds acquired through illegal means were used for business activities and property purchases.
