Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the second son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, has been summoned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to provide a statement on Friday (3) regarding an investigation into the alleged acquisition of disproportionate assets.
The CID has also recorded a statement from Major Neville Wanniarachchi, the former President’s Chief Security Officer, regarding an investigation into the alleged acquisition of significant assets.
Reports indicate that Major Wanniarachchi was questioned for four hours yesterday (27) as part of the ongoing inquiry.
