Ongoing observations so far have shown that there is no evidence of significant impact due to the fire on the Ship X Press Pearl anchored off Colombo harbour has had a significant impact on marine life, spokesman of National Aquatic Resources Agency (NARA) said.
However, due to the wreckage and wreckage of the ship, the coastal system extending from Wattala to Negombo has caused severe environmental damage, the spokesman said.
