Whether there is a Covid pandemic or not, residents of Kandy as well as people who are entering in to the Kandy City may need to wear a mask as the air quality of Kandy has become more horrible
the Minister the of Environment Mahinda Amaraweera has said.

Minister Amaraweera states that he is making this statement based on the research data provided by experts from the University of Peradeniya on the prevailing conditions in the atmosphere of Kandy and the data showing that there are toxic gases in the atmosphere of Kandy.

The Minister of Environment made this observation addressing a seminar on earthquakes and earthquakes held in Kandy today (23).

“Kandy was once remembered as the best city to live in Sri Lanka. This information reveals that it is currently a city full of toxic fumes. ”
“Investigations into the opening and closing of schools as well as the opening and closing of offices show that it is the most polluted time of the day.”
