Sri Lanka Health Ministry says it is not mandatory of wearing masks in indoor and outdoor events fro tomorrow(10). As the Covid-19 pandemic has significantly lowered Ministry lifted the rules ministry said.
In a statement, the Director General of Health Services,Dr Asela Gunawardena said that it is preferable that persons having respiratory diseases wear a face mask appropriately,” he said.
The statement also said Covid-19 PCR tests and Rapid Antigen Test, which was done as a screening test to identify Covid 19 patients are also not required any longer.
Sri Lanka has so far recorded 663,901 Covid 19 cases since February 2020
