Wasantha Mudalige, convener of the Inter-University Student Council, who was arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act and detained for almost 150 days remanded further until January 13 following an order of the Fort Magistrate’s Court today (5)
This order was given after Mudalige was presented to the Fort Magistrate of Mudali this morning (05).
Lawyer Nuwan Bopage had told the media that Wasantha Mudalige has been charged under the Prevention of Terrorism Act as well as under the civil law under the same charge and it is a misuse of the law.
