villagers of Konakulam, Mankulam have informed the wildlife officials that a wild elephant with gunshot wounds in the leg had fallen into a muddy puddle in the Mankulama Konakulam lake and was starving.
The elephant was first seen on the 17th and although they informed that day so far wildlife officers have not come to rescue the elephant the villages claim.
The villagers are afraid to give food to the wild elephant, which is suffering from the pain of the wound.
