Vietnamese buddhist community deliver 2.5 million dry food trations to needy families

Distribution of dry rations among 500 needy families with the contribution of Vietnamese buddhist onks and its people took place at the Malwatu Maha Vihariya Kandy recently. The 2.5 million worth of dry food rations delivered under the patronage of Chief prelate of Malwatta chapter Most Ven Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Thera.

The group of Vietnamese monks who came to visit Malwatu Maha Nayaka Thera was informed about the willingness to help people batted with economic crisis and the Chief prelate has guided the delegation to conduct such a donation for needy families.

Accordingly, the group of Vietnamese monks has expressed their willingness to provide food worth 4000 rupees per person for 500 families.

The relevant food distribution was carried among Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim people with the Chief Prelate and a group of Vietnamese monks.
